Well, hello there. You wanna know about movies, huh? Like that P.S. I Love You one? I watched that with my daughter once. She cried buckets, that girl. Made me cry a bit too, gotta admit. So, you’re lookin’ for movies kinda like that, huh? Alright, let’s see what this old brain can remember.
Movies That Make You Grab the Tissues
First off, if you liked P.S. I Love You, you probably like a good cry, right? Don’t be ashamed, happens to the best of us. That movie, it was all about love and loss, and, you know, finding a way to keep goin’ even when your heart’s broke into a million pieces. So, if that’s your cup of tea, there’s a bunch out there.

They say that Titanic movie, the one with the boat, is a big one. Never seen it myself, too much water for my liking. But everyone says it’s sad, real sad. Lots of love and then, boom, the boat goes down. Sounds like a recipe for tears to me. Then there’s The Notebook. Oh, that one. My neighbor, old Mrs. Gable, she watches that one every week, I swear. It’s about these two young folks who fall head over heels, then get separated, then find each other again. It’s a whole thing. Lots of drama, lots of romance, just like that P.S. I Love You.
- Sad Movies, You Know?
- Titanic – Big boat, big love, big cry. That’s what they say.
- The Notebook – Young love, old love, lost love, found love. It’s got it all.
- When Harry Met Sally – This one’s a bit different, more talkin’ than cryin’, but it’s about love, too. And it’s funny, which is nice sometimes.
- Sleepless in Seattle – A man and his son, a woman and her friend, and a whole lotta radio talkin’. It’s sweet.
- Pretty Woman – Now, this one ain’t all sad. It’s got some happy parts, too. But it’s about love and finding your way, so it fits, I guess.
- Love Actually – This one’s got a bunch of different love stories all tangled together. Some happy, some sad, some in between.
Now, some of these movies, they ain’t exactly the same as P.S. I Love You, mind you. Like that When Harry Met Sally one. It’s more about friends becoming lovers, which ain’t quite the same as losin’ your husband and gettin’ letters from him after he’s gone. But it’s still a good movie, and it’s about love, so I put it on the list. And Pretty Woman, well, that’s a whole different story, ain’t it? But it’s romantic, and sometimes that’s all you need, right?
Movies That Tug at Your Heartstrings, But Maybe Not in the Same Way
There are other movies out there, too. Ones that are sad and romantic but in a different way. They mentioned a couple, Me Before You and Sweet November. Didn’t see them myself, but my granddaughter talks about them. Me Before You, she said it’s about this girl who falls in love with a fella in a wheelchair. And Sweet November, somethin’ about a fella and a girl who make a deal, and it’s all romantic and then, I guess, sad. Sounds like they got that emotional thing going on, just like P.S. I Love You.
So, you got your big, famous sad movies, and then you got these other ones, maybe not as well known, but still good for a cry. And they all, in their own way, are about love and loss and how people deal with it. That’s what makes them similar to that P.S. I Love You movie, I reckon.
Finding These Movies
Now, where do you find these movies? Well, that’s the easy part. Everyone’s talkin’ about Netflix these days, and I hear they got a bunch of movies on there. And there’s that Amazon place, they sell everything, including movies, I think. And iTunes, whatever that is. Sounds fancy. Point is, these movies are out there, you just gotta look for ‘em. You young folks with your computers and your phones, you’ll figure it out.

Why We Like These Movies Anyway?
You know, I sometimes wonder why we like these sad movies so much. They make us cry, they make us feel all sorts of things, but we keep watchin’ them. Maybe it’s because they remind us that we ain’t alone in our feelin’s. Everyone goes through heartbreak, everyone loses people they love. And these movies, they show us that. They show us that it’s okay to be sad, it’s okay to cry, and it’s okay to keep lovin’ even when it hurts. And maybe that’s why they’re similar to P.S. I Love You too – they all show us a little bit of what it means to love and lose and keep going.
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of movies you might like if you liked P.S. I Love You. Go on now, grab yourself some tissues and get to watchin’. Just don’t blame me if you end up cryin’ a river. I warned ya.
