Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get my hands on the “I Am the Bread of Life” music sheet for a while now. It’s a beautiful hymn, and I wanted to learn to play it on the piano. So, I started my quest.
The Hunt Begins
First, I hit up the usual suspects – you know, the big online sheet music retailers. I typed in the title, scrolled through the results… and, well, there were tons of options. Different arrangements, different keys, some with vocals, some just instrumental. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
Narrowing it Down
I decided to filter my search. I specifically wanted a piano arrangement, something not too complicated, but not too basic either. Something that captured the essence of the hymn without being too difficult to learn. I added “piano solo” to my search terms and tried again.
The Frustration
Even with the filters, I was still finding a lot of arrangements that weren’t quite right. Some were too simplified, others were way too elaborate, with all sorts of fancy runs and chords that were beyond my skill level. I started to get a little discouraged. I clicked through page after page, previewing what I could, but nothing seemed to be the one.
Paydirt!
Finally after a good, long search, I found a result and open it. I previewed the first few pages, and it looked promising! The arrangement seemed manageable, and it sounded beautiful in the preview. I decided to buy the sheet music.
Practicing Time
I immediately download it to my computer and then I printed out my music sheet.
I sat down at my piano, all excited. I started slowly, getting a feel for the notes and the rhythm. It took a few tries to get the hang of it, especially the trickier bits. I stumbled a few times, hit some wrong notes, but I kept at it.
I find a quiet place, then I can begin my Practice.
After a while, it started to flow more smoothly. I could feel myself getting more comfortable with the piece, and the melody started to come alive. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m making good headway. And honestly, that’s the best part – the journey of learning and getting better.

It maybe take several days or even weeks.
That’s all. Finally, I can play it.
