Okay, so the other day I decided to finally put together a karaoke night with my girlfriends. We’d been talking about it forever, but you know how life gets. This time, I was determined to make it happen!
Finding the Right Songs
First things first, I needed a killer playlist. I mean, you can’t have a karaoke night without some seriously singable tunes. I started brainstorming, thinking about what my friends and I actually enjoy singing along to. I wanted a good mix of genres and eras – some old-school classics, some pop anthems, and maybe even a few guilty pleasures.
I went online and start searching, I was looking for “best karaoke songs for women” and “easy karaoke songs for female voices”. Lots of stuff to look into.

Compiling My Ultimate Karaoke List
After searching around for a bit, i began to make up my list:
- “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. It is so epic, but I can hit some of those high notes.
- “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. A total classic! This is a perfect one for a group.
- “Wannabe” by Spice Girls. Cheesy? Maybe. Fun? Absolutely! My friends are gonna get loud.
- “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele. Gotta have at least one power ballad, right? Plus, everyone knows this one.
- “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. The ultimate sing your heart out.
I made sure to include a variety of * were definitely more challenging than others, but I figured that was part of the fun!
Setting the Stage (aka My Living Room)
Next up: logistics. I didn’t have a fancy karaoke machine, but I figured my laptop, a good speaker, and YouTube would do the trick. I found some karaoke versions of the songs, created a playlist, and tested everything out. Sounded pretty good, if I do say so myself!
The Karaoke Night
Finally, the night arrived! My friends came over, we ordered some pizza, and got ready to belt our hearts out. It was seriously SO. MUCH. FUN. We sang, we danced, we laughed (a lot), and it was exactly the kind of night we all needed.
It turned out to be a huge blast and everyone had a great time. We’re already planning the next one!
