Alright, guys, let’s talk about my recent staycation adventure in NYC. I’ve been itching for a little getaway, but didn’t want to deal with the hassle of a big trip. So, I thought, why not explore my own backyard? New York City is huge, with tons of hidden gems, so a staycation sounded perfect.
First, I started to scour the internet for some decent accommodation. I wanted something close to the action but not right in the middle of all the noise. That’s when I stumbled upon this place in West New York, just outside of Midtown Manhattan. It promised to be a cozy apartment, and the price was pretty sweet at $259. The place is only 20 minutes away, which is pretty convenient.
I also found some interesting options in East Harlem. There were quite a few hotels there, and I took some time to compare their prices. Then I browsed through some shared rooms in Brooklyn, and one host in particular caught my eye – they had tons of amazing reviews.

There was this other place in Irvington, a stylish house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was a bit further out, about 30 minutes from the city, but it was also near the American Dream Mall, which could be fun. I even looked into some fully furnished rentals, just to see what was out there. They seemed perfect for longer stays.
I then checked out some hotels in the Bronx. I compared room rates for over 11,000 hotels – talk about options! There’s even this place on the Upper West Side that I really like the location of. And let’s not forget about that 5-bedroom place in Midtown I saw on Vrbo – it looked perfect for a group getaway.
After a lot of searching and comparing, I finally made my decision and booked a place.
- First off, the location was perfect for what I wanted.
- Secondly, the price was in line with my budget.
- Last but not least, the reviews were good, which gave me some peace of mind.
So, staycation is accomplished! I had a blast exploring different neighborhoods, trying new restaurants, and just soaking in the city vibes. It was a great reminder that sometimes, you don’t have to go far to have an amazing adventure. And sometimes, the best discoveries are right in your own backyard. You know what I mean?
