So, fall is here, and I decided to make the most of it in Florida. Yeah, I know, Florida isn’t exactly known for its autumn colors, but hey, there’s still plenty to do.
First off, I hit up a few pumpkin patches. I drove out to this farm just outside of town, and let me tell you, it was packed! Families everywhere, kids running around with pumpkins bigger than their heads, and the smell of pumpkin spice in the air. I grabbed a few pumpkins myself, you know, for carving and some homemade pie later on.
- Wandered through a corn maze.
- Took some pictures of the kids on hayrides.
- Bought some fresh apple cider and donuts.
Next, I checked out some Halloween events. There’s this haunted hayride that everyone’s been talking about, so I went with a couple of friends. Let’s just say it was pretty intense! I definitely screamed a few times, but it was all in good fun. Oh, and I almost forgot, I also went to Brick or Treat at Legoland. Dressed up in a simple costume, walked around, and even got some candy. Felt like a kid again, haha.

Then there was the food. Oh, the food! Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival was going on, so I spent a day there. I sampled dishes from around the world and sipped on some pretty tasty wines. Let me tell you, my stomach was happy that day.
I also made sure to enjoy the outdoors. Since the weather’s a bit cooler, it’s perfect for hiking and exploring. I went to a few nature trails, took in the scenery, and even spotted some wildlife. I definitely recommend bringing your binoculars, by the way, if you are a bird-watching fan just like me.
And finally, I attended REEF Fest in Key Largo. It was all about ocean conservation, which is something I’m really passionate about. I listened to some talks, learned a lot about protecting our reefs, and met some cool people who are doing great work.
Overall, my fall in Florida was pretty awesome. Sure, it’s not your typical fall experience, but I still had a blast. I’m already looking forward to what next year’s fall season will bring!
