Okay, so, a few weeks ago, my besties and I were like, “We need a break!” You know, from work, from the daily grind, all of it. We decided a girlfriend getaway was in order. After a bit of back and forth, we settled on the Hudson Valley. I mean, who could resist that charm, right?
First thing we did? We started hunting for a place to stay. We wanted something cozy, but also kinda chic. And boy, did we find options! There’s like a ton of places there, for every kind of budget, you know? We ended up booking this cute little spot in Saugerties. It was perfect, not too pricey, and just the right vibe for us.
Once we got there, we hit the Main Street. And let me tell you, it was buzzing! So many little shops, cafes, and places to just wander around. We spent a whole afternoon just popping in and out of stores, grabbing coffee, and people-watching. It was so chill, just what we needed.

Of course, we couldn’t go to the Hudson Valley without getting some nature in. So, the next day, we laced up our hiking boots and hit the trails. We found this awesome spot with views that just went on forever. Seriously, we took like a million pictures. It was breathtaking, in that rugged, outdoorsy way, you know?
Food-wise, we were spoiled for choice. Every meal was like a mini adventure. One night, we stumbled upon this place called “Foxfire Mountain House” – and get this, breakfast and dinner are included! Talk about a sweet deal. The food was amazing, like, seriously good. We stuffed ourselves silly and had the best time just chatting and laughing.
We also made sure to check out some of the local art scenes. I mean, the Hudson Valley is practically bursting with creativity. We wandered through a few galleries, and I even picked up a little something to remember the trip by. It’s always cool to support local artists, right?
Some Highlights:
- Checked out Main Street – so many cool shops!
- Hiked our hearts out – the views were insane.
- Ate like queens – shoutout to Foxfire Mountain House.
- Explored the art scene – it’s everywhere!
Honestly, this trip was exactly what we all needed. Just good friends, good food, and good vibes. If you’re looking for a getaway with your girls, definitely put the Hudson Valley on your list. It’s got that perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, with a little bit of artsy flair thrown in. And who knows, maybe you’ll even feel inspired to do something crazy, like, I don’t know, propose to your significant other? Just kidding… unless…?
Anyway, we had a blast, made some awesome memories, and came back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle whatever life throws our way. Until the next adventure, that is!
