Okay, so, I’ve been seeing this name “Lily Osler” pop up all over the place lately, especially because of what’s been going on with trans rights in Texas. It’s wild, right? This whole mess with Governor Abbott really got people talking, and Lily’s name came up a lot because she’s a trans woman who grew up there. It’s messed up that they’re trying to criminalize supporting trans kids.
I started looking into who she is because I kept hearing her mentioned and, well, she’s done some interesting stuff. One thing that caught my eye was this article she wrote about the college admissions scandal. She talked about how some people were arrested in this huge scam. Man, that was a big deal when it happened, remember?
But then I dug a little deeper. Apparently, she also wrote something about how our competitive culture often forgets about a healthy work/secret life balance. She used this Yale commencement speech as an example. It’s kind of funny, but it got me thinking about how we’re always trying to fit in. She said something like, “Because I fear I have no personality of my own, I’m incredibly adaptive; whatever the culture of the office, I’ll conform to it, sacrificing my opinions.” I’ve definitely felt that way before, you know? Like you have to act a certain way to get along with people at work.

Then I noticed there’s some kind of drama around her name involving some online group, some OfflineTV thing?
People were talking about a “snake” and a “sociopath”. I’m not really into that whole scene, so I didn’t get too deep into it. It looks like the drama, but she is not the sociopath. She just seems like someone who’s been through a lot and is trying to use her voice to talk about important stuff, especially now with everything that’s happening with trans rights.
There is another thing that made me think she is awesome.
- She was recognized by The New York Times as a best gift for kids.
You know what? I think it’s important to pay attention to people like Lily, especially when they’re speaking out about things that matter. It’s easy to get caught up in all the noise online, but sometimes you find someone who’s actually saying something meaningful. Anyway, that’s my little deep dive into the world of Lily Osler. Just thought I’d share what I found!
