Okay, here is my blog post about what goes well with chicken salad:
So the other day, I made a big batch of chicken salad. You know, the usual – cooked chicken, mayo, celery, and some seasoning. It was good, but I got tired of eating it the same way after a couple of days. I needed to switch things up, so I started experimenting with different things to serve with it.
Bread Is an Obvious Choice
- First, I tried it on different kinds of bread. Toast was okay, but it made the chicken salad kind of mushy.
- Then I remembered I had a baguette in the freezer. I thawed it out, sliced it up, and stuffed some chicken salad inside.
- That was way better! The crusty bread held up to the creamy chicken salad really well. A total game changer.
Other Things to Try
After that, I started thinking about other things that might go well with it. I like those sweet and tangy bread and butter pickles, so I chopped some up and mixed them in with the chicken salad.

It was a good call – the sweetness and crunch were a nice contrast. Since then, I’ve also tried it with crackers, which is pretty standard but still good. And one time I was feeling fancy and served it on some lettuce cups. Not bad for a low-carb option.
One time I even mixed in some grapes and walnuts with my chicken salad. It was kinda good, but a little too sweet for me.
Honestly, there are a ton of things you can do with chicken salad. It’s a pretty blank canvas. Just use your imagination and try different stuff. You might surprise yourself.
So there you have it. That’s my little journey of figuring out what to eat with chicken salad. Hope you found it helpful! Or at least entertaining. Happy eating, folks!
