Okay, so, today I’m going to talk about where I found e.l.f. Cosmetics. This brand, it’s pretty popular, right? And it’s not super expensive, which is always a plus. I wanted to get some new makeup and didn’t want to spend a fortune. Started looking into it, and guess what? e.l.f. was created by Joseph Shamah and Scott Vincent Borba back in 2004. Long time ago! It’s based in California.
First, I checked their website, because, obviously, you can buy directly from them. They had a deal going on, like, free shipping and two free mini products if you spent over $35, and another gift if you spent over $50! Not bad. I browsed around and found some stuff I liked, put them in my cart, you know the drill.
But then I thought, maybe I could find it in stores? It’s always nice to see things in person before you buy them. I know some people really do care about touching and feeling it first.

Where Did I Go Then?
- Target: Yep, good old Target. They have a whole beauty section and a decent selection of e.l.f. products. I went there and looked at the makeup in person, which was nice. Found the same products I had in my online cart.
- Ulta Beauty: This is a store totally dedicated to beauty products. They carry e.l.f. as well. They also had some deals, like free shipping and store pickup. I saw some of their exclusive stuff, like the “Suntouchable” sunscreen and the “Holy Hydration!” line. Pretty cool.
I ended up buying a few things from Target because I was there anyway and it was just easier. Got some “Wow Brow Gel” – it was only $5! And the “Holy Hydration! Face Cream” which I’d heard good things about, just for $13.
From what I gathered, e.l.f. also has expanded to Sephora Mexico, both in-store and online. They are really going global! It seems like they have a bunch of competitors too, like SharkNinja, Coty, and a whole lot more in the consumer goods industry. I guess it’s a pretty competitive market, but e.l.f. seems to be doing great.
And hey, I saw that e.l.f. is really popular with the younger crowd, like Gen Z. They’re all about those TikTok trends and slang, which I find kind of funny. I guess they found their niche and they’re rocking it. They also started selling fragrances, too. I saw a discovery set for $25. Maybe I’ll try that next time.
So yeah, that’s my e.l.f. Cosmetics experience. It’s an easy brand to find, and it won’t break the bank. You can buy it online, at Target, at Ulta – it’s pretty much everywhere. I’m happy with my purchase. Mission accomplished!
