Okay, so I saw these Maeve The Collette Wide Leg Jeans and I just had to try them. I’ve been seeing wide-leg jeans everywhere, and, well, I wanted to see if I could actually pull them off.
First, I found a pair online. I’m a pretty average size, so ordering online is usually pretty safe. I picked my usual size, crossed my fingers, and hit that “order” button.
The Waiting Game (and the Unboxing!)
- Waiting for the package was torture! Seriously, I think I checked the tracking like ten times a day.
- When they finally arrived, I ripped that box open like a kid at Christmas.
- The jeans were neatly folded, and they looked…promising. The color was exactly what I expected.
Trying Them On
Okay, here’s the moment of truth. I slipped them on, and…wow. They were surprisingly comfortable! The denim felt soft, not stiff or scratchy like some jeans. They went on easy, no struggling or jumping around required.

I buttoned them up and checked myself out in the mirror. The fit was pretty good! They were definitely wide-leg, but not ridiculously so. They hugged my hips just right, and the length was perfect (I’m on the shorter side, so this is a BIG win!).
Styling Them
Now for the fun part – figuring out what to wear with them! I tried a few different tops:
- A simple fitted t-shirt – classic and easy.
- A slightly cropped sweater – a little more dressed up.
- A flowy blouse – for a more bohemian vibe.
Honestly, they all looked pretty good! These jeans are surprisingly versatile. I also played around with shoes. Sneakers for a casual look, and some heeled boots to dress them up.
The Verdict
I ended up wearing the jeans with the fitted t-shirt and sneakers for a day out. I got so many compliments! And the best part? I was comfortable all day long. No pinching, no adjusting, just pure comfort.
I have definitely added these wide-leg jeans to my daily use list.
