Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure – glamping in Guerneville, CA!
My Guerneville Glamping Getaway
So, I’ve been itching to get out of the city, you know? Needed some fresh air and trees, but, like, I’m not exactly a “roughing it” kind of person. Enter: glamping. I’d heard Guerneville was a cool spot, so I started poking around.
First thing I did? Hit up Google, of course! Just typed in “Guerneville glamping” and started scrolling. Saw a bunch of options – yurts, tents, even some fancy trailers. It was a little overwhelming, honestly.

I spent a good hour, maybe two, just clicking through different websites. I was looking for something that felt… secluded, but not, like, too secluded. I wanted a comfy bed, a bathroom situation that wasn’t terrifying, and maybe a little deck to chill on.
I finally narrowed it down to a couple of places that looked promising. One had these super cute canvas tents with queen-sized beds and little fire pits. The pictures looked amazing! Another place had these Airstream trailers that were all decked out – kitchen, bathroom, the whole nine yards.
Decision time! I ended up going with the canvas tent place. The Airstreams were tempting, but the tents just felt more… “glamp-y,” you know? More of that outdoor vibe I was craving, but without having to sleep on the ground.
Booking was pretty straightforward. Found their website, picked my dates, and paid online. Boom! Done. Got a confirmation email right away, which was reassuring.
The drive up was… interesting. Lots of winding roads! But the scenery was beautiful. Rolling hills, redwood trees – it was a nice change from the concrete jungle.
When I got there, I checked in. The people were super friendly and showed me to my tent. And… wow. It was even better than the pictures! The bed was comfy, there were cute little lanterns, and the fire pit was all set up. I was stoked!
- Spent the first afternoon just relaxing.
- Read a book.
- Listened to the birds.
- Enjoy that glass of wine.
Later, I built a fire, cooked some dinner (okay, it was just hot dogs, but still!), and roasted some marshmallows. Classic camping stuff, but, like, easy camping stuff.

The next day, I did some exploring. Went for a hike, checked out the river, and just generally enjoyed being in nature. It was exactly what I needed.
Checking out was a breeze. Just packed up my stuff, said goodbye, and headed back to the city. Feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the week.
Overall, my Guerneville glamping trip was a total win. Would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a little nature escape without sacrificing all the comforts of home. Just be prepared for those winding roads!
