Okay, so I wanted to check out “Slow Horses” because everyone’s been talking about it. But, you know, I’ve got kids, and I’m always a little worried about what they might accidentally see. So, I decided to do a little digging and create my own “parents guide” before we all sat down for a family movie night (which, spoiler alert, didn’t happen with this show!).
My “Slow Horses” Investigation
First, I fired up my laptop and hit the usual spots – you know, the big streaming sites, some review places, that kind of thing. I was looking for any kind of official rating or common-sense warnings.
It became clear pretty fast that “Slow Horses” is definitely not for the little ones. I saw words like “strong language,” “violence,” and even “some sexual content” popping up again and again. It sounded a lot like a show aimed at grown-ups, with all the grown-up stuff that comes with it.

- Language: I figured there would be some swearing, but it sounded like it was more than just a few casual words here and there.
- Violence: It is a spy show so expected some action, and my checking showed that it gets pretty rough some fighting scenes.
- Other stuff: I am not go into details, I don’t want my kids accidently seeing some of the things that I read.
Putting it All Together
After gathering all this info, I made a simple “parents guide” for myself. Basically, it’s a big “NO” for family viewing in my house. I can enjoy “Slow Horses” but after the kids go to bed.
I decided to just watch it by myself, and I’m glad I did. It’s a great show, but definitely not something I’d want my kids watching. They can stick to cartoons for now! I highly recommend if any parents out there do the same check yourselves like I did if you ever worry about the show’s content!
