Okay, here’s my blog post about the “Jesus Saved My Life Hoodie”, written from a personal, practical perspective, using simple language and basic HTML tags:
So, I saw this hoodie online, right? It just said “Jesus Saved My Life” in big, bold letters. And I thought, “Man, I gotta try making one of those.” I’m not super religious or anything, but the message just hit me, you know? Plus, I like making my own clothes. It’s kinda my thing.
First, I needed a plain hoodie. I didn’t want anything fancy, just a basic, black one. I went down to the local store and grabbed one. It’s pretty cheap, something I don’t mind to cost if I mess up.

Next up, the letters. I could’ve used fabric paint, but I wanted something that would last. So I went with iron-on letters. I found some at a craft store – white, blocky letters, the kind that really stand out.
Before I started ironing, I laid everything out. I put the hoodie on a flat surface and arranged the letters on the front. I played around with the spacing a bit, making sure it looked centered and straight. I used a ruler, just eyeballing it to make sure everything was lined up.
The Ironing Process
This was the tricky part. I followed the instructions on the letter package very carefully. You gotta get the iron temperature just right, or the letters won’t stick properly, or worse, you’ll burn the hoodie.
- I preheated my iron to the recommended setting (cotton, no steam).
- I placed a thin cloth over the letters (to protect them and the hoodie).
- I pressed down firmly with the iron, holding it in place for about 15-20 seconds on each section.
- I moved the iron slowly, making sure to cover every part of each letter.
- I let it cool completely before peeling off the backing paper. If I peel it off too quickly some parts might not stick down to the hoodie.
I double-checked all the letters to make sure they were fully adhered. There were a couple of spots where I had to go back and re-iron, but overall, it went pretty smoothly.
And that’s it! My “Jesus Saved My Life” hoodie was done. It’s simple, but it’s mine. And every time I wear it, it’s a little reminder of, well, you know… and also of the fact that I made it myself. Pretty cool, huh?
