Okay, so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans, you know, the kind that fit just right and make you feel amazing? I stumbled upon Pilcro jeans at Anthropologie and decided to give them a shot. Here’s how it went down:
The Beginning: Spotting the Jeans
I was browsing through Anthropologie, just kind of window shopping, not really looking for anything specific. Then, BAM! I saw this display of jeans – all different washes, styles, and fits. They were the Pilcro line, and they just looked…different. You know, not like the usual mass-produced stuff.
The Deep Dive: Trying Them On
First, I grabbed a few different styles that caught my eye. A pair of high-waisted flares, some slim-fit ankle jeans, and a pair of the slouchier, boyfriend-style ones. I was curious to see what kind of fit they had.

- The High-Waisted Flares: I slipped these on, and honestly, the fabric felt really nice. Super soft, but still felt like they had some structure. The fit? Pretty good! They hugged my hips and then flared out nicely. The length was a little long, but I figured I could cuff them or get them hemmed.
- The Slim-Fit Ankle Jeans: These were a bit more of a struggle to get on, I will admit that. I did get them on though! Once I wiggled my way into them, they actually looked pretty cute. They were definitely more fitted than I usually go for, but they were flattering. The ankle length was perfect.
- The Boyfriend Jeans: These were the comfiest, no surprise there. I pulled them on easily, and they had that perfect, relaxed vibe. They were a little loose in the waist, but I kind of liked that slouchy look.
The Verdict: My Choice
After much deliberation (and a lot of mirror-gazing), I decided to go with the high-waisted flares. They just felt the most “me,” and I could see myself wearing them with everything from boots to sandals. I bought them and wore them right away.
The Aftermath: Living in My Pilcros
I’ve been wearing these jeans for a few weeks now, and I’m still loving them. They’ve held up really well through washes, and they’re just so comfortable. I’ve dressed them up with a blouse and heels, and dressed them down with a t-shirt and sneakers. They’re surprisingly versatile! It seems I did find a great pair of jeans afterall!
Overall, my Pilcro experiment was a success! I was able to explore the different styles, and I think I have found the ones that I will keep wearing for a while.
