Okay, so I stumbled upon this “I Liked My Life” book thing, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, who doesn’t want to appreciate their life a bit more, right?
I started by grabbing a notebook – nothing fancy, just a plain one I had lying around. The whole point, I figured, was to keep it simple. No pressure, just jotting down stuff I liked about my day.
Getting Started
The first few days were kinda awkward. I felt like I was forcing it. “I liked… my coffee?” It felt silly. But I stuck with it. I committed to writing down at least three things every day, no matter how small.

- Day 1: Coffee, sunshine, finished a task at work.
- Day 2: Funny cat video, good workout, tasty dinner.
- Day 3: Nice chat with a friend, pretty sunset, comfy bed.
See? Nothing earth-shattering. But the act of actually writing it down, that’s where the magic started to happen.
Finding the Groove
After about a week, I started to notice a shift. I wasn’t just writing things down after they happened. I was actually starting to look for things to like during the day. It’s like my brain got rewired to pay attention to the good stuff.
I realized, “Hey, I’m actually enjoying this walk to work.” Or, “Wow, that conversation with the cashier was actually really pleasant.”
I Found many interesting and happy things when i start to focus on it.
The Payoff
It’s been a few months now, and I gotta say, this little book has made a difference. I’m not saying I’m suddenly walking around in a constant state of bliss, but I definitely feel more… appreciative. I’m more present, more aware of the good things, even the tiny ones.
I even went back and read through some of my earlier entries. It was a nice reminder of all those little moments that would have otherwise just faded * full fill with my memories.

So, yeah, that’s my experience with the “I Liked My Life” book. It’s not a miracle cure, but it’s a simple, effective way to train your brain to focus on the positive. And honestly, who couldn’t use a little more of that?
