Okay, so I’ve been wanting to do this “Chicago City Quotes” project for a while now. I finally decided to just jump in and get it done. Basically, I wanted to collect a bunch of cool quotes about Chicago, from famous people, movies, songs… whatever. Just stuff that really captures the spirit of the city.
First, I started by just brainstorming. You know, jotting down anything that came to mind. I thought about movies set in Chicago, like “The Blues Brothers” or “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” I also thought about famous Chicagoans, like Al Capone or Michael Jordan.
Then, I hit up Google. I just typed in stuff like “famous Chicago quotes,” “Chicago movie quotes,” “quotes about Chicago architecture,” and so on. I spent a good couple of hours just browsing through different websites, reading articles, and copying and pasting anything that I liked into a big document.
Digging Deeper
After that, I decided to get a little more organized. I created different categories, like:
- Quotes about Chicago’s history
- Quotes about Chicago’s architecture
- Quotes about Chicago’s people
- Quotes about Chicago’s vibe
I then went back through my big messy document and started sorting the quotes into these categories. It was kind of tedious, but it really helped me see what kind of themes were emerging.
Refining and Presenting
Once I had everything organized, I started thinking about how I wanted to present these quotes. I mean, a big list is okay, but it’s not very * later I will find a better way to present all of those,It’s really not bad, and it was surprisingly fun to research!
