Okay, here’s my blog post about the “happy life of Isadora Bentley,” written from a personal, practical perspective:
So, I started this whole “Isadora Bentley” thing because, well, I was bored. Seriously, life was getting a little too predictable. Wake up, work, eat, sleep, repeat. I needed a shake-up, a project, something totally different.
I decided I’d create this fictional character, Isadora Bentley, and document her “perfect” life. I figured it would be a fun creative outlet, and maybe, just maybe, I’d pick up some good habits along the way.

Phase 1: Brainstorming & Setup
- I grabbed a notebook (a real, paper one – felt more official) and started jotting down ideas. Who is Isadora? What does she do? What makes her happy?
- I gave her a cool job – freelance travel writer. Seemed glamorous enough.
- I created some basic routines for her: morning yoga, healthy smoothies, reading before bed. You know, the stuff I should be doing.
- I make sure all of Isadora’s “schedule” is written down to motivate myself.
Phase 2: The “Living” Part
This is where it got interesting. I tried to incorporate Isadora’s habits into my own life. And I will try my best to follow Isadora’s daily routine, that’s the key part, right?
-
I attempted morning yoga. Key word: attempted. I’m about as flexible as a brick. But hey, I tried!
-
I actually succeeded with my plan. I have followed Isadora’s eating habits and made myself several healthy meals.
-
I took some online photography courses.
-
I added to my to-do list.
-
I planed for some trip just like Isadora.
Phase 3: The “Fake” Documenting
I made it all look good for that made up “Isadora’s blog”. I do get better during this period.

- I took photos of my “adventures” (even if it was just a walk in the park).
- I wrote little captions pretending to be Isadora, gushing about the “amazing views” and “inspiring locals.” It was cheesy, but fun.
- I even created a fake social media account for her. Didn’t go crazy with it, just a few posts here and there.
Phase 4: Reflection & Reality Check
Okay, so did I actually become Isadora Bentley? Nope. But did it help? Surprisingly, yeah.
- I realized I do enjoy some of those “perfect life” things. The smoothies were pretty good, actually.
- I discovered I like having a creative project, even if it’s a bit silly.
- I learned that faking it ’til you make it… kinda works? At least for motivation.
- And, most importantly, I broke out of my rut. And that’s what I wanted.
So, the “happy life of Isadora Bentley” might be fictional, but the little boost it gave my life? That’s real. And it all started with a simple decision to try something new. So go out find a new hobby. Maybe I should do this again but with a different life style.
