Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog-style post about whether Alejandro Aranda won American Idol, written in a casual, personal style, and using basic HTML formatting:
So, I got sucked into watching American Idol again this year. I don’t know why, it’s always the same, but I get invested. This time around, there was this guy, Alejandro Aranda, who was just… different. Totally unique. He played his own instruments, wrote his own songs, and had this crazy chill vibe. I was sure he was going to win.
I started digging in, you know, like you do when you’re obsessed with a show. I went through old YouTube videos of his performances. The guy was playing his guitar, then his piano, and back and forth. So incredibly cool!
Then I started reading all the recaps, the predictions, who the judges seemed to favor. I wanted to know for sure, so I went and checked the actual results.

- Checked the show annoucements.
- Searched online for news and blogs.
The Big Reveal (Not What I Expected)
Turns out… he didn’t win! I was seriously shocked. I even double-checked, like, five times, reading different articles and forum posts. It was Laine Hardy, the rock-style country singer, who ended up taking the prize. Alejandro came in second. Second!
I was so disappointed. I really thought Alejandro was going to revolutionize the whole show, bring something totally new. He was so talented and different!. But hey, that’s how it goes, right? Still a massive bummer, though. I followed his journey through the show, and he didn’t even take it! He still has some super awesome songs out there!
