Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try out those mid-rise button fly jeans for a while now. You know, the ones with the buttons instead of a zipper? They just look so cool and retro. I finally took the plunge and bought a pair, and let me tell you, it’s been an experience.
First off, finding the right pair was a bit of a journey. I went to a couple of stores, tried on a bunch of different styles and sizes. Some were too tight, some were too loose, some just didn’t look right on me. It’s like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but with jeans. I must have spent hours in the fitting rooms, buttoning and unbuttoning, squatting and bending, trying to find the perfect fit. The saleswoman gave me weird looks when I went out in my fifth jeans.
Finally Found Them!
Eventually, I found a pair that I really liked. They’re a nice dark wash, with a bit of stretch to them, which is important because I need to be able to move around. I’m a pretty active person, you know? Plus, I didn’t want to feel like I was stuck in a denim prison.

- First thing I noticed: those buttons take some getting used to. I’m so used to just zipping up my jeans and being done with it. With these, I actually have to, like, think about what I’m doing. And sometimes, if I’m in a hurry, I’ll mess up and have to start all over again. It’s a whole process.
- The first day I wore them out, I went to grab coffee with my friend. She immediately noticed my jeans and was like, “Oh, button fly! I haven’t seen those in a while.” So, they definitely make a statement. People are gonna look, you better believe that!
- I also realized that they’re kind of a conversation starter. Like, I went to a party, and a couple of people came up to me and asked about my jeans. It was kind of cool, actually. It’s like wearing a little piece of history or something. I am so satisfied that day!
- Another thing I like about them is that they feel really secure. Like, with a zipper, there’s always that slight fear that it’s gonna, you know, come undone at the worst possible moment. But with buttons, I feel like I’m locked in. They’re not going anywhere. That thing is tight and secure.
Honestly, I’m really digging these jeans. They’re comfortable, they look good, and they’re a little bit different. They add a little something extra to my outfits. I paired them with a polka dot off-shoulder top today. It looks great! I’m probably gonna wear them with everything. I’m definitely gonna be buying more button fly jeans in the future. Maybe I’ll try a lighter wash next time, or maybe even some with a wider leg. The possibilities are endless!
So, if you’re thinking about trying out button fly jeans, I say go for it! Just be prepared to spend some time finding the right pair, and be patient with those buttons. It’s worth it, I promise.
