I was totally overwhelmed by my makeup mess the other day. It was chaos in my drawers! Lipsticks here, eyeshadows there, and brushes? Forget about it, I could never find the one I needed. So, I decided, enough is enough, it’s time to get organized.
First, I pulled everything out. You wouldn’t believe the stuff I found! I mean, who needs five half-empty tubes of the same mascara? It was a bit of a shock, to be honest.
After laying everything out on the bathroom floor, I started sorting. I put all my lipsticks together, all my eyeshadow palettes in another pile, and so on. It was like a beauty explosion, but at least it was a categorized explosion. I also did a serious declutter. That old, dried-up nail polish? Gone. That weird lip gloss color I never wore? Bye-bye!

I wiped down all my makeup containers. Let’s be real, some of them were pretty gross. It’s amazing how much gunk builds up. I felt so much better after I scrubbed everything.
Next up, I got some makeup organizers. I picked up these clear acrylic drawers, and let me tell you, they are a game changer. I used them to organize my makeup by type. Now I can actually see everything I have, which is pretty awesome.
- Lipsticks: In one drawer, sorted by color.
- Eyeshadow palettes: Neatly stacked in another drawer.
- Brushes: Standing upright in a cute cup.
I also made a separate little bag for the stuff I use every single day. This way, I don’t have to dig through all my drawers every morning just to find my favorite mascara. It’s a small thing, but it’s saved me so much time.
Now it’s so easy
So yeah, it took a bit of effort, but organizing my makeup was totally worth it. My bathroom looks so much better, and getting ready in the morning is a breeze.
