Okay, so, I’ve been dying my hair for, like, forever, and I’m always on the hunt for something new and better. Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about Wella hair color, so I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” Plus, my salon uses Wella products.
First things first, I had to get my hands on some Wella dye. I checked out a few beauty supply stores, and yeah, they had a ton of options. I mean, seriously, so many shades! I was looking for something not too crazy, but still a bit different from my usual go-to color. Eventually I chose Wella.
Getting Ready
Before I started, I made sure to do a strand test. You know, just to see how the color would take to my hair and make sure I didn’t end up with some weird, unexpected result. Gotta be careful, right? After the strand test looked good, I prepped my bathroom like I always do. Old towels, gloves, a timer, the whole nine yards.

Dye Time
Mixing the Wella dye was pretty straightforward. Just followed the instructions on the box, nothing too complicated. Then came the fun part – applying the color! I started at my roots, like usual, and then worked my way down to the ends. The dye itself was creamy and didn’t drip too much, which was a nice change from some other brands I’ve used.
Waiting Game
- Once my hair was fully saturated, I set my timer and waited.
- This is usually the part where I pace around, check my phone a million times, and try not to get dye on anything.
- The waiting time was pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary.
Rinse and Reveal
Finally, the timer went off! I hopped in the shower and rinsed out the dye. I used the little conditioner packet that came with the color, and then I blow-dried my hair to see the final result.
My Thoughts
Honestly, I was pretty impressed with the Wella hair color. The color turned out really rich and vibrant, just like I was hoping for. My hair felt soft and looked shiny, not dry or damaged at all. It definitely covered my grays well, too, which is a major plus. I think I like Wella more than the ones I used before. Overall, I’d say the Wella hair color lived up to the hype. It’s a bit pricier than some drugstore brands, but I think the results are worth it. I’ll probably use it again next time I need to touch up my color. And I found Wella has a lot of other products like quasi-permanent options, I will try them next time to make my hair look better. If you’re thinking about trying a new hair color, I’d definitely recommend giving Wella a try. Just make sure to do a strand test first! You won’t regret it.
That’s my experience, hope it is helpful for you.
