I’ve been meaning to get a nice, warm winter jacket for a while now, and I kept hearing about Canada Goose. But man, those things are pricey! So, I started looking into some alternatives, and I wanted to share what I found.
First, I checked out L.*. They’re known for their outdoor gear, and I figured they’d have some decent winter stuff. Turns out, I was right. They’ve got a whole bunch of parkas that looked pretty similar to the Canada Goose ones, but way cheaper. So they got a point for that.
Next, I looked into North Face. They’re another big name in outdoor apparel. I found some jackets that were in the $100-$150 range, which is definitely more affordable. Plus, they had a decent range of sizes, from XS to 2XL. So, North Face seemed like a solid option too.

Then, I stumbled upon this Orolay Down Jacket on Amazon. Apparently, it’s like, the most-wished-for jacket on there. It is pretty stylish. After browsing some more, I added this one to my list. I mean, it was famous for a reason, right?
Lastly, I came across the Eddie Bauer Women’s Superior Down Parka. There was a picture of a model wearing it, and it looked pretty good. The brand is also trustworthy, so I might go for this brand if I want a substitute.
My Choices
-
L.*: Good reputation, wide selection of parkas, and definitely more affordable than Canada Goose.
-
North Face: Reasonable prices, a good range of sizes, and a brand I trust.
-
Orolay Down Jacket: Super popular on Amazon, must be good for a reason, and pretty stylish too.
-
Eddie Bauer Women’s Superior Down Parka: Trustworthy brand and stylish look. Good option for a substitute.
So, those are the alternatives I found. It is just my personal experience and I hope it can help you guys.
