Okay, so today I want to talk about my little adventure with the “New Life Open Bible Church.” It all started when I was looking for a new church to join. I’m not really into organized religion and all that stuff, but I do believe in having a spiritual connection, you know? So, I heard about this place called New Life Open Bible Church from a friend, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
First off, finding the place was easy peasy. It’s located at 402 E 6th St in Port Angeles, Washington. I just punched the address into my GPS, and boom, I was there. They even have a phone number, 360-457-8888, which I didn’t use, but it’s good to know it’s there if you need to call them for anything.
I decided to go to their Sunday service. They have Sunday School for all ages at 10:00 AM, which I didn’t attend ’cause I’m not much of a Sunday School person. But their main Morning Worship is at 11:15 AM. I got there a bit early, around 11:00 AM, and let me tell you, the vibe was pretty chill.
I walked in, and people were just milling around, chatting, and getting coffee. Apparently, they have free refreshments and coffee from 9:15 AM until the service starts. I grabbed a cup of coffee, which was surprisingly good, and just mingled a bit. It was nice to see a mix of people there, old and young, all just hanging out.
The service started right on time at 11:15 AM. I found a seat, and the whole thing kicked off. Now, I’m not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical at first. But the atmosphere was really welcoming. I didn’t feel out of place at all. I also noticed that the service is available live on their Facebook and YouTube.
The sermon, or whatever you call it, was actually pretty good. It wasn’t preachy or anything, just some good old-fashioned life advice mixed with some Bible verses. The pastor quoted Matthew 16:18, which I remember because it was about Peter, and I always found his story interesting. They talked about the Open Bible Churches being part of some association of Pentecostal churches, but honestly, that part went over my head. I’m more into the practical stuff, you know?
After the service, people were just hanging around, talking and laughing. I even chatted with a few folks, and they were all super friendly. It felt like a real community, which is something I’ve been missing.
They also have services on Wednesdays, but I haven’t been to those yet. Maybe I’ll check them out sometime. Overall, my experience at New Life Open Bible Church was pretty solid. It’s not just a church; it feels like a place where you can actually connect with people and get some good vibes.
My Takeaway

So yeah, if you’re in Port Angeles and looking for a church that’s not too stuffy or judgmental, New Life Open Bible Church might just be your jam. I’m definitely going back, and who knows, maybe I’ll even become a regular. We’ll see!
