Alright, mates, so the other day I was trying to figure out “how to equip ship cosmetics sea of thieves”, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. First off, I spawned into the game and saw my ship docked there, looking all plain and boring. I knew there had to be a way to spruce her up a bit, right?
So, I started by running around the dock area. I remembered seeing somewhere that there’s a lady who sells these ship cosmetics. I looked everywhere and finally spotted her near where the ships spawn. She had all sorts of cool stuff, like different sails, hulls, and figureheads. I browsed through her inventory, and picked out a few things that I thought would look good on my ship.
Buying the Cosmetics
- Found the shipwright lady on the dock.
- Browsed her shop for sails, hulls, figureheads, and more.
- Bought the cosmetics I liked using my hard-earned gold.
After buying the cosmetics, I had to figure out how to actually equip them. I ran back to my ship and started poking around. I went down to the lower decks, looking for anything that seemed like it could be used to customize the ship. I noticed some shelves and walked alongside the walls, and then, bingo! I saw a prompt that said something like “Place Trinket.” That wasn’t what I was looking for, but it was a clue!

Then I found it – the ship customization chest! It’s right there on the ship, usually near the captain’s quarters. I opened it up, and there were all the cosmetics I had bought. It was super easy from there. I just selected the items I wanted to equip, and bam! My ship was looking way cooler.
Equipping the Cosmetics
- Located the ship customization chest on my ship.
- Opened the chest to view my purchased cosmetics.
- Selected and equipped the cosmetics to my ship.
Honestly, it took me a bit longer than it should have to figure all this out, but now that I know, it’s a piece of cake. Now my ship looks awesome when I’m sailing the seas. If you’re having trouble, just remember to find that shipwright lady first, buy some cosmetics, and then find that chest on your ship. Happy sailing, everyone!
