Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with scarves, specifically how to wear them on my head. I’ve seen people looking super stylish with headscarves, and I’ve always wanted to try it out myself.
Getting Started
First, I dug through my closet and found a few scarves that I thought might work. I grabbed a long, flowy one with a cool pattern and a smaller, square silk one. I also made sure I had a mirror nearby so I could see what I was doing – this is crucial, trust me.
The Experimentation Phase
I started with the long scarf. I draped it over my head, making sure the ends were even. Then, I tried tying it in a simple knot at the back of my head. It looked okay, kind of like a basic headband, but I wanted something a bit more interesting. I played around with different ways of wrapping the ends around my head, trying to create a turban-like look. After a few tries, I managed to get a wrap that I liked. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely a start.

Next, I moved on to the square silk scarf. This one was a bit trickier because it was smaller. I folded it diagonally to make a triangle, then placed the long edge along my forehead. I tied the two ends at the nape of my neck, and then tucked the remaining corner under the knot. This created a more classic headscarf look, and I actually really liked it. It felt a bit vintage and chic, which is totally my vibe.
The Results
- Long scarf: Wrapping it around my head gave me a more bohemian, laid-back kind of look.
- Square scarf: Folding and tying it created a more polished and put-together style.
Honestly, it was a lot of fun trying out these different styles. It’s amazing how a simple accessory like a scarf can totally change your look. I definitely need more practice to get the tying and wrapping just right, but I’m excited to keep experimenting. Maybe I’ll even try some different fabrics and patterns next time. Who knows, I might just make headscarves my new signature thing!
