Okay, so the other day, I was scrolling through the internet, just doing my usual thing, and I stumbled upon this phrase “Are you not entertained?” You know, the one from that epic movie, Gladiator? And I thought, “Man, that would be a cool T-shirt!”
So I got this wild idea to make my own. First, I started looking around online for some design inspiration. Dug through a bunch of websites that sell T-shirts, just to see what’s already out there. There were some pretty cool designs, but nothing that really screamed “me,” you know?
Next, I fired up my old, trusty graphic design software. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. Spent a good few hours just playing around with different fonts and layouts. I wanted something that captured the intensity of the original quote, but also looked good on a shirt. Finally I decided to use “impact” font which is bold enough for the design. And I tried to put a gladiator helmet under the words to make it look more powerful.

- Looked for design inspiration online
- Fired up my graphic design software
- Played around with fonts and layouts
- Added a gladiator helmet graphic
- Found a local print shop
Then, I tried to find a print shop that could do custom T-shirts. Found this little place not too far from where I live. Went down there, talked to the guy at the counter, and showed him my design. He seemed pretty confident they could do it, so I placed my order.
Picked up the shirt a few days later, and let me tell you, it turned out awesome! The print quality was great, the fabric was soft, and the design looked even better in person. I wore it out the next day, and I got a few compliments on it. Even got a “Are you not entertained?” shout-out from a fellow Gladiator fan! It was great.
Honestly, the whole process was pretty fun. From brainstorming the design to actually wearing the finished product, it was a blast. I’m already thinking about what my next custom T-shirt project will be. Maybe something from another one of my favorite movies, who knows?
This is my personal experience. Hope you can get some inspiration from it.
