Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make this “Be Still and Know” shirt for a while now. It’s a phrase that really hits home for me, you know? Kinda like a reminder to chill out and trust the process when things get crazy.
First, I looked up some designs online. Just wanted to get a feel for what other people have done with it. Saw a bunch of different styles, some with fancy fonts, others with like, nature scenes. I decided to keep it simple though. Clean and classic, that’s my vibe.
Next, I grabbed a plain white T-shirt from my closet. Figured I’d start with that. Then I went on finding the font. I used a website and after scrolling through a million options, I finally found one that felt right. It’s kinda bold, but still has this soft edge to it, you know?

- Printed out the phrase in the font I chose. Just on regular paper.
- Cut out each letter carefully. This took a while, gotta be honest. My hands were cramping!
- Arranged the letters on the shirt, making sure they were centered and all that.
- Traced around the letters with a fabric marker.
- Then came the fun part – painting! I used black fabric paint and a small brush. Took my time to fill in the letters, trying not to go outside the lines.
- Let it dry overnight.
Here’s what I did:
Honestly, it was a lot of fun. This shirt is all good to go. It’s not perfect, but I like the message that I could always be still and know.
So yeah, that’s how I made my “Be Still and Know” shirt. It was a fun little project, and now I have a cool new shirt to wear. Plus, it’s a good reminder to just breathe and trust that everything’s gonna be alright. Maybe I’ll try another design sometime, but for now, I’m pretty happy with this one.
