So, the other day I was thinking, “Man, I really want to find some movies that are like ‘We Are Your Friends’.” You know, that flick with Zac Efron as the aspiring DJ? I loved the whole vibe of it – the music, the journey, the struggles. So I decided, “Why not dive into the internet and see what I can dig up?”
I started by just typing “movies like We Are Your Friends” into the good old search engine. And bam! Tons of stuff popped up. People were chatting on forums, making lists, and writing articles all about it. It was like a goldmine for a movie buff like me.
I spent a good chunk of time, maybe a couple of hours, just scrolling through all these recommendations. There were names of movies I’d never even heard of. Some folks were saying “Artificial Paradises” is a good one. It’s about two girls going to a beach festival and just letting loose. Sounds fun, right?

Then, I saw someone mention “Groove”. Apparently, it’s about an all-night rave. That got me interested. I made a note to check that one out too.

I also found out there are like 71 films that are similar to “We Are Your Friends”. Can you believe that? 71! I won’t list them all here, but it’s crazy how many movies there are out there that explore the world of EDM and the whole DJ scene.
I started watching trailers, reading synopses, and even checking out some reviews. I was like a kid in a candy store, except the candy was movies.
I managed to watch a few of these movies over the next couple of days. And let me tell you, some of them were pretty cool! They had that same energy, that same passion for music that I loved in “We Are Your Friends.” It felt like I was right back in that world.
It was a blast going on this little movie adventure. I discovered some new favorites, and I got to experience that whole EDM vibe all over again. It just goes to show, if you’re looking for something specific, the internet’s got your back. You just gotta put in a little effort, and you can find some real gems.
And you know what the best part is? I still have a bunch of movies left to watch from that list of 71! Looks like my movie nights are sorted for the next few weeks. Cheers to that!
