Alright, guys, let’s talk about my recent family trip to Puerto Vallarta. We were on the hunt for the best family-friendly resorts, and let me tell you, it was quite an adventure!
First off, we started with some good old-fashioned internet research. I dove deep into travel blogs, forums, and all those review sites. We wanted a place that had it all: great food, fun activities for the kids, and, of course, a little luxury for the grown-ups. Because, you know, parents need to relax too!
We narrowed it down to a few areas. The Hotel Zone seemed like a solid bet. It’s right by the beach, south of the marina, and stretches all the way to downtown. We heard good things about Las Glorias and Versalles. Apparently, they’re pretty popular, and for good reason.

Then we looked into specific resorts. Velas Vallarta Suite Resort popped up a lot. It sounded like a dream with its all-inclusive packages and tons of family activities. They even had cooking classes and movie nights! I thought, “This could be the one!”
Another one that caught our eye was Garza Blanca Preserve Resort and Spa. Man, this place is fancy! It got a 9.2 out of 10 rating, and the pictures looked amazing. We’re talking about stunning ocean views, multiple pools, and even a private beach. My kids were already packing their bags in their minds.
The Investigation Process
- Scoured travel websites and read countless reviews.
- Made a list of potential resorts and compared their offerings.
- Checked out their social media pages to get a feel for the vibe.
- Looked for those places with sidewalks and crosswalks.
We also considered walkability. I mean, who wants to rent a car on vacation? We wanted to find a place where we could stroll around easily, especially with the kids. Fluvial Vallarta, Versalles, and Centro came up as some of the most walkable neighborhoods. Sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes – the whole shebang. This was important to us. Because you must be convenient, hassle-free.
After all that digging, we finally made our decision. We booked our stay at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort and Spa, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious, and there were so many activities that we never got bored.
The kids loved the kids’ club, the pools, and the beach. My wife and I enjoyed the spa, the gourmet restaurants, and just lounging by the pool with a good book. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
So, if you’re planning a family trip to Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend doing your research and choosing a resort that fits your needs. Trust me, it makes all the difference. And don’t forget to check out the Hotel Zone and those walkable neighborhoods. You won’t regret it!
That’s it for my Puerto Vallarta adventure. Hope this helps some of you out there planning your next family getaway. Stay tuned for more travel stories!
