Okay, so I wanted to try out this “How Well Do You Know Your Teacher” game with my students. It sounded like a fun way to interact and, you know, see how much they really pay attention, haha.
First, I brainstormed a bunch of questions. I wanted to keep it light and fun, so I thought of stuff like, “What’s my favorite color?” and “Do I have any pets?” I even threw in some trickier ones like, “How old is my son?” just to see if they were really listening during those random stories I tell.
- What is your teacher’s favorite color?
- What kind of pet does your teacher have?
- How old is your teacher’s son?
- Does your teacher like hamburgers?
Then, I decided to use a quiz format. I didn’t want anything too formal, just a simple way to present the questions and have them answer. There are these online quiz makers, but I ended up just using a simple slideshow because I’m not very good at using online tools. Each slide had one question, and I added some funny pictures to make it more engaging. You know, keeping up with the times and all that. Also, I dressed up in some of my nicer clothes, wore glasses, and even combed my hair all nice and proper, just to play the part.

Game Time
When it was time to play, I gathered the kids and explained the game. I acted all serious, like a real game show host, which they found hilarious. I even walked around like an old person, which got a lot of laughs. One by one, I went through the slides, reading out the questions. The kids wrote down their answers, and there was a lot of giggling and whispering. I think I even saw some of them trying to sneak a peek at my stuff for clues!
After all the questions were answered, we went through them together. I revealed the answers, and we had a good laugh about how close (or how far off) they were. Some of them actually knew me pretty well, which was heartwarming. Others were just way off, but it was all in good fun. “How could you get my son’s age wrong? I talk about him all the time!” I joked.
In the end, it was a great way to spend an afternoon. We laughed a lot, and I think it helped us bond a little more. Plus, it gave me a chance to see how much they actually listen to me—turns out, it’s more than I thought! I’d definitely do this again, maybe with some new questions next time. It’s a fun little activity to break up the routine and get everyone engaged. I even asked them what their secret was for keeping a straight face when a student says something hilarious, and their answers were priceless!
All in all, it was a success. We had fun, and I got to see a different side of my students. This “How Well Do You Know Your Teacher” game is definitely a keeper. I highly recommend it to other teachers who want to have some fun with their students. It’s a fun activity that brings people closer and lets you see things from a new perspective.
