Alright, so, Galentine’s Day, right? Heard about it, thought it sounded fun, decided to give it a shot this year. I mean, who doesn’t love an excuse to hang out with their friends? I grabbed some of my closest girlfriends and started brainstorming on how to make this Galentine’s special.
First thing we did was to get on a group chat. We bounced some ideas around, throwing out everything from a fancy dinner to a movie night. I was getting excited about the opportunity to spend time with my good friends. It was also nice to know that my other friends also wanted to celebrate it. We eventually decided to stay in NYC.
We started to plan. One friend found a cute little brunch spot in the West Village that all of us had never tried, so we made a reservation there. We also booked a mani-pedi appointment afterward ’cause, you know, self-care and all that. I did some research and found a local flower shop. We went there to buy some flowers for each other to make the day special.

The day finally arrived. We met up at the brunch place, and it was amazing! The food was delicious, the mimosas were flowing, and the conversation was even better. We laughed, we reminisced, we caught up on everything. I brought my camera with me and captured those beautiful moments with my friends. It felt good to just be together, you know? It was great to have some quality time with friends who I have known for years.
- Brunch at that cute place in the West Village
- Mani-pedis afterward, a necessity!
- Flowers for each other to brighten the day
After brunch, we strolled over to the nail salon, chatted some more, and got pampered. Then we went to buy flowers. I picked a pink rose for myself. After that, we went to a bar. We ordered some drinks and talked about love and relationships. We shared our stories and experiences with each other. It was a great time. It was nice to be able to talk to my friends about this stuff, and I realized how lucky I was to have them in my life.
The Best Day Ever
Honestly, it was one of the best days I’ve had in a long time. It was a perfect reminder that I have friends who I truly appreciate. We decided to make Galentine’s Day an annual tradition, maybe even try a different city next year. It was a day well spent. I am so glad that we did this. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
