Okay, so I’ve been planning this Disney trip for months, you know? And everyone always talks about the food inside the parks, which, don’t get me wrong, it’s good. But I wanted to find something a bit different, something outside the usual park hustle. So, I started digging around for restaurants not inside the parks but still on Disney property. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a treasure hunt!
I spent hours scrolling through forums, reading reviews, and comparing menus. It felt like I was looking at hundreds of places! Finally, I narrowed it down to a few that sounded really interesting. I made a list and everything, because, who doesn’t love a good list when they’re planning?
The Adventure Begins
First up, I decided to check out this place called Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I’d heard it had this amazing bread service and the view of the animals was supposed to be awesome. Getting there was a bit of an adventure in itself, taking the bus and all. But once I arrived, it was totally worth it. The atmosphere was so relaxed, and the food? Oh man, the food was incredible! That bread service lived up to the hype, and I even saw some zebras while I was eating. How cool is that?

Another Gem
Next, I hit up Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was described as a buffet with African flavors, and I was all in. I’m always up for trying new things, and this place didn’t disappoint. They had so many options, from soups and salads to all kinds of roasted meats. I stuffed myself silly, but it was totally worth it. And the desserts? Let’s just say I might have gone back for seconds… or thirds.
- Spent hours researching restaurants outside the parks.
- Made reservations at Sanaa and Boma.
- Enjoyed the bread service and animal views at Sanaa.
- Experienced the diverse African buffet at Boma.
After all that eating, I felt like I needed a nap. But hey, no time for that when you’re on a Disney adventure! I found out that these two restaurants are pretty close to Animal Kingdom, so if you plan it right, you could totally do both in one day. Just sayin’.
I heard about this place called Club 33, which is apparently super exclusive and above the Pirates of the Caribbean. You need to be a member or know someone to get in. Now, I didn’t manage to get into Club 33, but it sounded so fancy and mysterious! Maybe next time, right?
And then there’s this place in Magic Kingdom, in Beast’s castle, I heard it’s like stepping into a fairytale. But, again, that’s inside the park, and I was on a mission to find those outside-the-park gems. Still, it’s good to know for next time I’m in the park, I guess.
All in all, exploring these restaurants outside the parks was a total win. It’s like discovering a whole new side of Disney. If you’re ever planning a trip, I’d definitely recommend stepping outside the park gates and trying something new. You might be surprised at what you find! And trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
