Well, I tell ya, this life ain’t easy, but trusting God, that’s the key. I heard folks talk about these real-life stories, and they’re somethin’ else. Reminds me of a good turnip harvest, comes when ya least expect it, but you gotta have faith.
I remember ol’ Sarah, bless her heart, she’d always say, “God’s got a plan, even if it looks like a tangled mess of yarn.” And she was right! These stories ’bout trusting God, they’re like that. Folks in a real pickle, not knowin’ which way is up, but they hold on, keep trusting in God, and bam! Somethin’ good happens.
- Like this one fella, Noah, had to build a big ol’ boat ’cause God said rain was comin’. Everyone laughed, but he kept on, trusting God. And wouldn’t ya know it? It rained cats and dogs! He was safe in that boat, all thanks to trustin’ the good Lord. That’s a real good one about trustin’ god, ya know.
- Then there’s Abraham. God told him to pack up and move, didn’t even tell him where! Can you imagine? But he went, trusting God to show him the way. And you know what? It all worked out. He became a father of many, many more, I tell ya!
These stories, they ain’t just old tales. They show ya that even when things are tough, trusting God is what gets ya through. Like a sturdy fence post in a storm, it keeps ya standin’ strong. Life’s like that sometimes, a big ol’ storm, but if you’re trustin’ god in difficult time, you will get out, ya know.

I hear some young folks sayin’, “It’s hard to trust God. I can’t see Him.” Well, you can’t see the wind, but you see the trees swayin’, right? It’s like that with God. You see His work in your life, in the good things that happen, even in the hard times that make you stronger. That’s God’s work. That’s real life.
Take my neighbor, Mary. Lost her husband last year. It was a hard time, real hard. She was sad, lonely. But she kept prayin’, kept trusting God. And slowly, like the sun comin’ up after a long night, she started to heal. Found comfort in her church, in her friends. God was there for her, just like He’s there for all of us. Just like a warm blanket on a cold night. That is what god will do for ya.
So many people I know, they got their own stories about trusting God. It ain’t always easy, mind you. Sometimes you gotta wait, like waitin’ for a seed to sprout. You plant it, you water it, and you wait. You have faith that somethin’s gonna happen. And then, one day, you see a little green shoot. That’s how it is with God. He want ya to trust him.
And it ain’t just about big things, like floods and movin’ to new places. It’s about the little things, too. Like findin’ a lost button or gettin’ a good price on cornmeal. When you trust God, you start to see His hand in everything. It’s like He’s sayin’, “I’m here, I’m watchin’ over you.” Those are all real-life stories, ya know.
One time, I was needin’ a ride to town, and I didn’t know how I was gonna get there. I prayed about it, just a little prayer, trusting God to help me out. And wouldn’t ya know it, my neighbor came by and offered me a ride! Just like that. God works in mysterious ways, as they say. You gotta keep trusting God, that’s for sure.
Some people, they want to control everything. They want to plan everythin’ out, make sure nothin’ goes wrong. But life ain’t like that. It’s like a quilt, with all different patches, some bright, some dark. You gotta trust God to put it all together, to make somethin’ beautiful out of it. You gotta trust him, ya know, even in those challenges of life.
This other time, my boy, he was real sick. Fever wouldn’t break, coughin’ all night. I was worried sick, I tell ya. I prayed and prayed, trusting God to take care of him. And ya know what? He got better. Doctor said it was a miracle. I knew it was God. He always be there, ya know.

These stories, they give you hope, don’t they? They remind you that you’re not alone, that God’s always there, even when you can’t see Him. He’s like the air you breathe, always there, keepin’ you alive. You need to trust god in difficult time, and good time.
So, next time you’re feelin’ down, or worried, or scared, remember these stories. Remember Noah, and Abraham, and Mary, and all the other folks who trusted God. And know that He’s there for you, too. Just like a good friend, always ready to lend a hand. It is real, ya know. Keep trusting God, no matter what. It will be fine.
