Well, let me tell you about this here Leavenworth 4th of July 2024 thing. That’s a big day, you know? Like a big birthday party for the whole country. I hear it’s gonna be a real shindig up there in Leavenworth this year. Lots of folks going.
This Leavenworth place, they say it’s all fancy-like, with buildings lookin’ like they’re from some other country. I don’t know nothin’ about that. But I hear tell they got good food. Maybe some of that there German sausage, I reckon. And maybe they got them big pretzels, the kind you gotta use two hands for. That would be a treat!
Now, on the 4th of July, that’s when everyone gets all patriotic. They wave them flags and wear them red, white, and blue clothes. Kinda like how we do for Christmas but different. They have parades, too. I saw a few when I was a girl. Lots of noise!

My old ears don’t like the loud bands so much anymore. But the young’uns, they love it! They get all excited and point at everything. It’s a sight to see, I tell ya.
They say in Leavenworth, they gonna have a 4th of July 2024 parade. Probably got them fancy cars in it, and folks throwin’ candy to the kids. That’s how they do, you know. If you go to Leavenworth 4th of July 2024 you might see all kind of things. I hear tell it is a pretty place. The kids would love the parade I bet.
And when it gets dark, that’s when the real fun starts. Fireworks! Boom! They go up in the sky and make all them pretty colors. Red and blue and green and all sorts. It is something else.
Now, I ain’t never been to Leavenworth myself. But I hear folks talkin’. They say it’s a good place to go see them fireworks on the 4th of July. They got a big park, I reckon, where everyone can sit and watch.
You know back when I was a girl we used to shoot off fireworks ourselves? Little ones mostly. Sparklers, them things that fizzle. But some folks, they had the big ones. Made a lot of noise! Nowadays, they’re more careful about that, I guess. Prob’ly for the best.
If you’re thinkin’ ’bout goin’ to Leavenworth for 4th of July, you best plan ahead. Lots of folks gonna be there, I imagine. Hotels and all that, they fill up quick. And you gotta find a good spot to watch the parade and the fireworks. Maybe bring a blanket to sit on.
They also have things to do on the days before the 4th of July. I think it is called a 4th of July Weekend 2024. They might have some music or games for the kids. Maybe a place you can get some food. That’s what they usually do, you know, for these things.
Now, I don’t know if they got a golf course up there in Leavenworth, but if they do, maybe they’ll have somethin’ special goin’ on there, too. Some folks like to play golf on holidays. Not me, though. Too much walkin’.
Fort Leavenworth is another place but that ain’t where the big party is. That is for the army folks, you know? If you are going to Fort Leavenworth 4th of July 2024, you might see some soldiers marching. I heard they might have a weightlifting class there.
If you go up there to Leavenworth, you make sure you stay safe, you hear? Watch out for the crowds, and don’t let them little ones run off. And drink plenty of water, especially if it’s hot. Don’t want nobody gettin’ sick on a holiday.
Independence Day, that’s what they call it. ‘Cause a long time ago, this country, it wasn’t its own country. It belonged to someone else. And then they had a big fight, and they won, and now it’s its own country. That’s why they celebrate.
I remember my grandpa, he used to tell stories about it. He wasn’t around for the fight, of course. That was way before his time. But he knew all about it. Heard it from his grandpa, I reckon. It’s important to remember those things, you know? Where we came from and all that.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do on the 4th of July 2024, Leavenworth might be a good place to go. Just remember what I said. Plan ahead, stay safe, and have a good time. And if you see them fireworks, think of me! I’ll be thinkin’ of them, too, from right here at home.
