Hey there, y’all! Let’s talk about glamping redwoods, you know, them big ol’ trees. I ain’t never seen nothin’ like ’em, tall as the sky and thick as a house.
Now, I heard tell there’s this place called Big Basin State Park. Lots of them redwoods there, like 4,300 acres of ’em! That’s a whole lotta trees, I reckon. But there’s other spots too, smaller ones like Butano, Henry Cowell, Wilder Ranch, and that Nisene Marks place. They say them smaller parks got less folks and more birds singin’, and it’s nice and cool under them trees.
If you’re lookin’ to stay a while, there’s plenty of places outside the park. You can camp, or you can “glamp.” Glampin’, that’s like fancy campin’. I ain’t never done it myself, but I hear it’s real comfortable.

So, if you’re plannin’ on visitin’ them redwoods, you gotta think about where you gonna stay. You don’t wanna just show up and have no place to lay your head, right? And you gotta think ’bout what you wanna do. You wanna rough it, or you wanna be comfy?
- Roughin’ it means sleepin’ on the ground in a tent, cookin’ over a fire, and maybe fightin’ off some critters.
- Glampin’, well, that’s a whole different story. I hear they got beds, real beds! And hot tubs! Can you believe it? A hot tub in the woods!
Now, I saw somethin’ ’bout a cozy campground with a hot tub. Said it starts at $115. That ain’t cheap, but if you want a hot tub, I guess you gotta pay for it. And there’s other places too, fancy tents, treehouses with decks, all sorts of stuff. It’s like livin’ in a hotel, but in the woods with them big trees.
If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ different, somethin’ off the beaten path, glampin’ might be just the ticket. You can find all sorts of places online, pictures and reviews and all. Just gotta search around a bit. People postin’ pictures of their tents and their beds and their hot tubs, showin’ off, I guess.
They say Redwood National Park is a real special place, a World Heritage Site, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, huh? And they say glampin’ there is a good way to see it all, to really get into nature.
So, if you’re thinkin’ ’bout glamping in Redwood, you got lots of choices. You can stay in state parks or national parks, or even on farms and vineyards, if you like. Just gotta figure out what you want and how much you wanna spend.
Me? I ain’t never been glampin’. I’m more of a sit-on-the-porch-and-drink-sweet-tea kinda gal. But I can see the appeal, I guess. Sleepin’ in a comfy bed, lookin’ up at them big trees… Sounds kinda nice, long as there ain’t too many bugs.
But listen here, you don’t gotta settle for no regular ol’ hotel. You can find somethin’ unique, somethin’ special. You can stay in a safari tent, or a treehouse, or even a yurt, whatever that is. The point is, you can make your trip to the redwoods somethin’ you’ll never forget.

So go on, do some research. Look at them pictures, read them reviews. And find yourself a nice place to glamp in the redwoods. You won’t regret it. Just remember to bring a sweater, it gets chilly in them woods at night. And maybe some bug spray, just in case. And if you see a bear, well, you just run the other way! That’s what I’d do, anyhow.
Redwood National Park glamping is a big thing, seein’ as the trees are so famous. Folks comin’ from all over just to look at ‘em. So you best plan ahead if you want a good spot, else you’ll end up sleepin’ in your car, and that ain’t no fun, I tell you what.
