Alright, let’s gab about this makeup stuff, why it ain’t on that TV no more, that QVC thing. I heard folks talkin’, ya know, in the beauty shop, at the grocery store, everywhere. This IT Cosmetics, used to be all over the place, now, poof! Gone like smoke. So, what’s the deal?
First off, ya gotta know, some big company, this L’Oreal, they bought IT Cosmetics. Big money, like a billion dollars or somethin’. That’s a lot of dough, even for them fancy city folk. So, this L’Oreal, they own a bunch of other makeup stuff too, ya know, like Urban Decay and that YSL. Fancy names, I tell ya. Maybe they got too much stuff and decided, “Eh, we don’t need this QVC no more.” That’s how these big companies work, they buy and sell things like we buy tomatoes at the market.
Now, some say this Jamie Kern Lima lady, she started IT Cosmetics. She’s a real go-getter, I hear. Sold it to L’Oreal and made a whole bunch of money. Maybe she moved on, ya know? Got tired of sellin’ on TV. Maybe she wanted to do somethin’ else. People change their minds, just like they change their hair color. One day it’s blonde, next day it’s red, you never know.

And then there’s this QVC itself. Maybe they changed things up too. Maybe they wanted different makeup, younger stuff, I dunno. Or maybe L’Oreal wanted more money to be on TV, and QVC said, “Nah, too expensive!” It’s all about money, ain’t it? Always has been, always will be. Like when the price of eggs goes up, you gotta eat less eggs. Same thing with this makeup, I guess.
- Could be the TV audience ain’t buyin’ as much makeup no more.
- Maybe folks are buyin’ online now, on their phones and computers.
- Or maybe the makeup just wasn’t sellin’ good on TV anymore, who knows?
I heard someone sayin’ somethin’ about “strategy,” like L’Oreal got a new plan. They do that sometimes, these big companies. They decide to sell their stuff in different places. Maybe they wanna focus on those fancy stores in the mall now, or just online. They got smart folks workin’ for them, thinkin’ about this stuff all day long. I’m just tryin’ to figure out what to make for dinner, they’re figurin’ out how to sell lipstick.
It’s a shame though, some folks really liked buyin’ that makeup on TV. It was easy, ya know? You sit on your couch, watch the TV, and order. No need to drive to the store, no need to deal with those pushy sales ladies. Now, you gotta go online, or find a store, or somethin’. It’s just not the same.
I also heard talk about some “consumer trends” whatever that means. Maybe makeup trends changed, ya know? Like them skinny jeans, one day they’re in, the next day they’re out. Same with makeup. Maybe what was popular a few years ago ain’t popular no more. And if QVC customers ain’t buyin’ it, well, they ain’t gonna keep sellin’ it. That’s just common sense, ain’t it? You don’t keep sellin’ somethin’ nobody wants. Like that time I made too much zucchini bread, nobody wanted it after a while, I had to throw it out.
It’s all a mystery, really. Nobody really knows for sure why IT Cosmetics left QVC. Maybe it’s a little bit of everything. Maybe it’s the big company, maybe it’s the lady who started it, maybe it’s QVC, maybe it’s the customers, maybe it’s just the way the world is these days. Things change, that’s for sure. One minute you’re watchin’ your favorite show, the next minute it’s gone. One minute you’re buyin’ your favorite makeup on TV, the next minute you gotta go huntin’ for it somewhere else.
And let me tell ya, this makeup stuff, it ain’t cheap. So, if you gotta go huntin’ for it, you wanna make sure you’re gettin’ a good deal. That’s why I always say, shop around, compare prices, and don’t be afraid to ask for a discount. They might say no, but hey, it doesn’t hurt to try. Like my mama always said, “Closed mouth don’t get fed.”
So, there you have it. My two cents on why IT Cosmetics ain’t on QVC no more. It’s a puzzle, but that’s life, ain’t it? Full of puzzles. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go figure out what to do with all these tomatoes from the garden.
