Alright, alright, let’s get this straight. You wanna know ’bout this “does it cosmetics support israel” thing, huh? Well, I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I heard and what I seen, kinda like gossipin’ over the fence, ya know?
First off, lots of these big makeup companies, they’re huge! Like, bigger than my whole village, I reckon. They got money flyin’ everywhere, and they gotta spend it somewhere, right? Some of ’em, they spend it over in that Israel place.
Now, I heard tell of this Fenty Beauty. Folks say it’s got makeup for every skin color under the sun. Sounds nice, right? But even them, they got their fingers in all sorts of pies, business-wise. You never really know where the money goes, do ya?
Then there’s this L’Oreal. Big, big company. They own a whole bunch of other brands, like them La Roche Posay, Clinique, Cerave, and that NYX stuff the young girls like. I even heard they got their hands on Always, them things for the ladies’ monthly troubles. Anyway, some fella from L’Oreal, he went and thanked some folks who support Israel for helpin’ his business over there. Said they should all do more business over there. So, make of that what you will.

And it ain’t just makeup, mind you. Them fancy clothes people, the Chanel and Givenchy and all them highfalutin names, they’re mixed up in it too. Louis Vuitton, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors… I can barely pronounce half them names! But the point is, they either said they like Israel, or they got money stuff goin’ on over there.
So, does all this mean they “support” Israel? Well, it’s like this: if you give your money to someone, or do business with ’em, I guess you’re kinda supportin’ ’em, ain’t ya? It’s like buyin’ eggs from your neighbor – you’re supportin’ their little chicken farm. Same thing, just on a bigger scale, with more zeros at the end of the numbers.
Now, why do they do it? That’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Maybe they think it’s good for business. Maybe they got friends over there. Maybe they just don’t care where the money goes, long as it keeps comin’ in. Who knows? These big company folks, they don’t exactly come around here to explain themselves to an old woman like me.
And what about us, the folks buyin’ this stuff? Well, some people, they don’t care. They just want a good lipstick or a nice shirt. Other folks, they get their feathers ruffled. They say, “I ain’t givin’ my money to no company that supports this or that!” And that’s their right, I reckon.
It’s a complicated mess, like a tangled ball of yarn. You got your business, your politics, your money, and your personal beliefs, all mixed up together. Me? I just try to make sense of it all, best I can. I look at what I’m buyin’, where it comes from, and who might be gettin’ a piece of the pie. And then I decide if I’m okay with that.
In the end, it’s up to you what you do with your money. You wanna buy from them companies, go ahead. You don’t wanna, that’s fine too. Just remember, there’s always more to the story than what them fancy ads tell ya. You gotta dig a little deeper, ask some questions, and then make up your own mind. That’s what I always say, anyway.
And for all this talk about Israel, remember one thing. There are many companies involved in supporting one thing or another, some you know of, and some you don’t. So, don’t be fooled into thinking just a handful of companies is at fault. This world is big, and big money moves in mysterious ways.
So, there you have it. My two cents on this whole “does it cosmetics support israel” business. It ain’t much, but it’s honest. And that’s more than you can say for some folks these days.
