Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this “does it cosmetics test on animals” thing.
I ain’t no fancy scientist or nothin’, but I know what’s right and what ain’t. See, them fancy makeup companies, they wanna make sure their stuff ain’t gonna burn your face off, right? So, some of ’em, they used to, and maybe still do, test on them poor little critters. Bunnies and such. It ain’t right, I tell ya. Imagine someone pokin’ and proddin’ at ya, pourin’ stuff in your eyes… it just ain’t right.
Now, I heard tell that some big shots in the government, they made some rules about sellin’ bad stuff, you know, stuff that ain’t labeled right or that’s got junk in it. They call it the “Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act” or somethin’ like that. Sounds all official and important, but the way I see it, it just means they don’t want ya gettin’ sick from their stuff. But it don’t say nothin’ ’bout them animals, does it?

- Not all countries are the same, you know. Some places, they said “no more testin’ on animals!”. Good for them, I say. I heard it’s like 45 countries now. They put their foot down.
- But here in the USA, it’s a whole ‘nother story. They talk a good game, but sometimes it feels like they ain’t doin’ enough.
Then there’s this “IT Cosmetics” brand. Folks keep askin’, “does IT cosmetics test on animals?”. Well, from what I hear, they say they don’t. They got some fancy paper from some group called PETA that says they’re “cruelty-free”. Means they ain’t supposed to be hurtin’ no animals for their makeup. 100% cruelty free they say. But you gotta be careful, you know? Sometimes folks say one thing and do another.
I heard tell of some awful things they do to them animals. Shavin’ them poor bunnies and rubbin’ chemicals on ’em. Droppin’ stuff in their eyes. Forcin’ them to eat things they shouldn’t. It makes my stomach turn just thinkin’ about it. Why they gotta do that? Ain’t there another way?
And get this, they say that testin’ on animals ain’t even that good! Somethin’ about it only bein’ right like half the time, maybe a little more. So, they’re hurtin’ these animals for nothin’! There’s other ways to do it, they say. Ways that don’t hurt nobody. And it’s cheaper too! Go figure.
Now, some folks say IT Cosmetics ain’t “clean beauty.” I ain’t sure what that means exactly, but I guess it means they still got some junk in their stuff that ain’t so good for ya. You gotta look at the label, they say. See what’s in there. But if you ask me, if they ain’t hurtin’ no animals, that’s a good start.
So, does IT Cosmetics test on animals? Well, they say they don’t. They got that fancy paper sayin’ they’re cruelty-free. But you gotta keep your eyes peeled, you know? Make sure they’re tellin’ the truth. Cause them animals, they can’t speak for themselves. We gotta speak up for ’em. It ain’t right to hurt ’em just so we can look pretty. There’s gotta be a better way. And if there ain’t, well then maybe lookin’ pretty ain’t all that important after all.
And another thing, it ain’t just about IT cosmetics, you know? It’s about all them makeup companies. We gotta make sure they ain’t hurtin’ no animals neither. We gotta vote with our money, they say. Buy from the companies that do right by them critters. And let them other companies know that we ain’t gonna stand for it no more. No more pokin’ and proddin’. No more pourin’ stuff in their eyes. Enough is enough.
So next time you’re buyin’ makeup, take a minute to think about them animals. Do a little research. Ask some questions. Make sure you’re buyin’ from a company that cares. Cause every little bit helps. And if we all stand together, we can make a real difference. We can make sure them animals are safe and sound.

That’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. Got a hankerin’ for some good ol’ chicken and dumplings.
